Our Story

Our story begins with a clever idea, a little help from friends, and some good luck.

In 2020, our dad Jordan retired from his job as a middle school teacher to start on his next adventure, and this time, he wanted to make sure we could come along, too. But what could we do together?

Our dad has always had a passion for food - he even ran an ice cream business with his students called Jr. Scoop - so when a friend suggested opening an ice cream shop, he knew it was the perfect idea. With the promise of ice cream, it wasn’t too hard to convince us either.

It isn’t easy starting something new and we hit bumps along the road, but mom is wise and she said, “Stick with it. You’re hard work will pay off.” As it turned out, it did! We found the perfect fit at the Historic Butteville Store.

We work hard to make delicious food!

Half Pint Brothers opened for business in 2021, right at the beginning of summer. Dad taught us things like how to talk to customers and how to make the perfect soft-serve swirl. We make our artisan ice cream from scratch every day right at the store. We also make all our cakes and sauces. Our sandwiches are made to order. Using high-quality, local ingredients is important to us. Check out our “Local Partners” page to meet some of the great people we work with in the Willamette Valley.

A new home away from home

The most amazing thing about this whole adventure is the time we get to spend together and the chance to get to know the people who come by to say hello. Seeing familiar faces and making friends in the neighborhood makes us feel welcome here, and we hope to do the same for everyone who visits us. So stop on by and introduce yourself. We look forward to meeting you!
